Our first home league game under lights this season brings Enfield to Wodson Park after they make their short journey from their current home at Hertingfordbury Park. It’s close to three years since their last visit when we won comfortably by 5-1 in a Herts Senior Cup game.

A look at the league table tells you it is unlikely to be so comfortable this time. As we have slipped so Enfield have flourished and they now sit above us in the table. They drew 0-0 at North Leigh on Saturday whilst we conceded four at Thame also without scoring.

We can’t let that result go without comment. We worked hard to fashion a goal but couldn’t penetrate the home defence whilst, when it came down to it, the goals we conceded were simple and uncomplicated in execution. Paul Halsey will be expecting his players to be more alert to such opportunities in this game.
