Just when it seems that Ware might be getting back to form the fixture computer is sending them to Berkhamsted who some think of as favourites for automatic promotion. Well, we gained a draw at Real Bedford who are other peoples’ favourites and also have a good record against the Comrades so there is cause for optimism.

In our eight meetings since Berkhamsted emerged following the demise of the earlier Town club, we have won six and drawn once, the only defeat coming when we were reduced to ten men. Can we keep that run going? After Hertford’s shock 5-3 success there two weeks ago I can’t see Berko being complacent on Saturday. It’s going to be a tough one but who said it would be easy?

Berkhamsted are sixth in the table with 21 points from nine games whilst we are tenth with 15 from twelve.

I’m unaware of any injury problems, the only issue being the likelihood or otherwise of David Sota getting a run out.

Sunday at Wodson Park will see two league games. At 10am the under-15s meet Dunstable Town and then at 2pm the under-17s face Woodford Town. As always entry is free and the clubroom and tea bar will be open throughout.
