This will be the first league meeting between the two clubs and only the third overall. The previous two games saw us win 2-0 at home in the FA Vase on September 9th 2000 with both goals from Fraser Higgs but lose 2-1 (Jermaine Osei) away in the Herts Senior Cup game of December 9th 2014.
Murat Karagul, Kieran Bishop, Khale Da Costa and Albert Adu were all rested for that game almost exactly ten years ago and it showed but, with league points at stake, Paul Halsey will be hoping to field a strong side in this meeting.
The Green have made a slow start to the season not winning their first game until their eighth match. Still, they did it in style by four-nil over AFC Dunstable so we can be sure they are no pushovers. That win has helped lift them out of the relegation places and after Saturday’s games they sit in 17th place in the league with 7 points from 11 games.
I’m unaware of any injury problems but Freddy Moncur continues his suspension into this game.
