Our last game before Christmas sees us at home to the ODs who pretty much scuppered our hopes of a home draw in the last season’s play-off semis. That was their 2-1 win at Wodson Park back in April.

The match report from that game highlights Arnold Matshazi and his two quick fire goals that opened the game up for the ODs. We won’t have to worry about him this time as he has answered Dionne Warwick’s question and found his way to San Jose where he is at college.

What we do have to worry about is a team that is one place and four points behind us in the table with three games in hand. The six match form guide gives us the advantage but looking in more detail we are 12th based on home games and they are 11th on away games. It’s all very close so we’ll have to be at our best.

In that regard Jon Clements, Sam Mayuma, Jay Rolfe and Mitch Hahn are all available to start this week so it sounds as though Paul Halsey is spoilt for choice. We will find out how Paul handles that problem when the line-up is published on Saturday afternoon.

Sunday at the Park sees two league games starting at 10am when the under-13s face Baldock Town for league points before the under-17s take on Walthamstow at midday also in a league game. Entry is free and the clubroom and tea bar will be open throughout.
