We close off 2024 by welcoming Stotfold to Wodson Park. Our win at New Roker Park in our second league game of the season seems a long while ago now and both teams show changes from that game but Stotfold more so than Ware. That said, former Blue Robbie Buchanan is in his second season with the Eagles having spent time with Hendon and Baldock since leaving Ware.

This is our first match since before Christmas whilst Stotfold won at home against Leverstock Green on Boxing Day, Alex Coppin scoring the only goal of the game three minutes from time. Will two games in three days leave our opponents lacking in energy or have they shaken off the Christmas festivities and are raring to go?

They could do with another win so may well be up for unsettling a Ware side that might still be suffering the effects of the festivities. That Boxing Day win has lifted Stotfold five points clear of the relegation positions but with half a season still to go there’s no chance they’ll be taking things easy.
