January hasn’t been a good period for us. Since the, shall we say close, game with Hertford we have lost three further matches. We’ve suffered from the unavailability of a number of players in this time so will be hoping that at least some have been released from the treatment room when Saturday comes.

We lost the home game to Hadley by 2-1 after Fred Burbidge was unable to play on for the second half. But the Bricks looked a good side that afternoon and went on to five more consecutive victories. Their league form has dipped a bit since then though they are still in the play-offs whilst they also had a good run in the FA Trophy.

They haven’t played a competitive game since new year’s day which leaves you wondering if they are rusty or champing at the bit after being fully rested. Something we will find out on Saturday afternoon.

There is just one competitive youth game at Wodson Park on Sunday when the under-15s meet Harefield United at 10am. Entry is free and the clubroom and tea bar will be open.
