We’ve had a good run against Enfield recently, the last seven meetings (three of which were friendlies) have seen Ware undefeated. Our last meeting saw us win our first league match in eight attempts, a poor run that came immediately after the 5-1 win away to Hertford.

We are yet to win in 2025 so it’s time to end another disappointing run and where better than on a return to the scene of that 5-1 derby win. In addition the feeling after the Hadley game was that the injuries that have affected availability lately should be behind us against Enfield.

Enfield lie just one place and one point below us in the table with two games in hand so this has become an important game for us. The match gives us a chance to renew acquaintance with Freddy Moncur who moved to the Es just over a month ago.

There are three youth games on Sunday. Starting at 10am the under-16s meet Godmanchester Rovers in a League Plate match, at midday there’s another Plate game with the under-17s receiving Heybridge Swifts before 2pm when the under-15s meet Hemel Hempstead for league points. As always, entry is free and the clubroom and tea bar will be open throughout.
