This Saturday is Non-league Day, coinciding with the international break. So there’s no Premier League and a chance to encourage any of their fans to get along to our game. Experiencing Step 4 football at what must seem like ridiculously low prices should be easy to sell, so do encourage any friends or neighbours without a match to come along to Wodson Park.

They’ll see us take on Biggleswade in what should be a tight contest. The two sides are level on points and whilst Ware, tenth in the table, have the advantage because of a significantly better goal difference, Biggleswade, one place lower, have two games in hand.

The form table isn’t much help. Overall we are higher in the six and eight match form guide but things are a lot closer once you compare our home record against Bigglewade’s away one.

Paul Halsey is expecting Max Granville to be available after suspension and hoping that Sam Mayuma is recovered from his injury. Quite how Jon Clements is feeling after Tuesday’s tweeked hamstring is not clear.

There are three youth games at the Park on Sunday with perhaps the most significant being the meeting between our under-18s and Royston, kicking off at midday. Victory will leave Ware as clear favourites for the divisional title. The under-13s, already assured of second place in their division, face London Lions at 2pm whilst the under-16s start against Aylesbury Vale at 10am. As always, there is free entry and the club room and tea bar will be open throughout.
