Henry, who has been an amber and blue since the age of 7 has been appointed as 2nd XV captain. He will lead the leadership group for the 2nds with the support of Sy Levy and Jed Tryhorn (vice captains). Club Captain Jimmy Rees commented on the appointment 'The 2nds have been in a transitional period, losing a lot of senior players either through retirements of injury so we have struggled to get a consistent squad out for the 2nds. We do have a lot of new exciting additions to the team which I am sure Henry, Sy and Jed will help build into a great side. The 3 of these guys have been the backbone and consistency of the squad over the last year and have the right attributes to develop this side.'

Henry also spoke about being appointed skipper ' After starting at Warminster RFC as a junior it is an honour to step up as 2nd XV captain. We have a strong group of players who are keen to improve and challenge for the 1st XV and I’m excited for the opportunity to lead them'

As mentioned Henry is a product of our youth section and is someone that always leads by example on the pitch. His happy go lucky character off the pitch makes him a likeable and approachable person in the club, combined that with his determination and physicality on the field makes a perfect match for leading the 2nd XV. This appointment is hopefully a long term one. The main aim is to build a one team ethos throughout the club and we feel Henry will help develop this. It also shows the commitment we are making to help develop the 2nd XV. I am sure you will all joining us in congratulating Henry on his appointment as we look forward to seeing him achieve great things and no doubt be a fantastic captain.
