The Warwickshire U17 Group will be holding a Skills Assessment Day to identify players capable of playing at County level and potentially Midlands or beyond.

We are looking for 'talented and gifted' players with well above average playing qualities and with a personality that offers a high work rate and a desire to be constantly involved. We will expect the player to also have:

1. The right attitude – towards coaching and developing as a player
2. Physical potential - speed, strength/power agility
3. Good Core Skills - handling, running, tackling/contact.

We have asked both Rugby Clubs and Schools to nominate players for the following session:

From this skill assessment day we will invite the successful players to the 'Game Assessment Day' that is scheduled to take place on Monday 27th February.

To be eligible a player must play for a Club or School in Warwickshire, is U17 on 1st September 2017 and should currently be playing for U17 or U16 age groups. U16 players will need to be exceptional in the above criteria within their age group for them to be considered for this playing and development opportunity.

We are conscious that there are players who have the potential we are looking for, but have not been able to take part in the Inter-District U17s Competition (taking place through December 2016 - January 2017) for reasons of other commitments or injury.
