WATCHET 4 CLUTTON 1
On Saturday the Red & Blacks wound up their home programme by coming from behind to make it 10 wins in a row at the Memorial Ground as they beat lowly Clutton 4-1. In a sub-standard first half showing Watchet had to recover from the shock of conceding a goal for the first time in 5 outings before going on to finish strongly yet again as they chalked up another double with their 3rd 4-goal tally in succession. 2 goals in as many minutes turned things around before the interval for the home side with Jamie Milton going forward after taking a quick free kick near halfway and then putting the finishing touch to the move by scoring with a header. Connor Jeromson then put the Red & Blacks in front with a 25-yarder which flashed in off an upright.
In the second half Watchet again grew stronger as the game wore on and goalscoring full back Eben Harding made it 3-1 when he poked the ball home in a scramble following a corner. He was on the
mark to register his second brace in 3 games when he nodded home a cross from Zac Ryder before Watchet missed late chances to make the scoreline more emphatic through Aaron Deeks and a sitter from Brandon Walsh.
