Recently Waysiders Drumpellier RFC were fortunate enough to have been awarded a grant of £2500 from GREAT (Grassroots Rugby for Everyone Awards Trust).

The Grass-roots Rugby for Everyone Award Trust (GREAT) is a charitable organisation which seeks to promote grassroots rugby across Scotland by awarding financial support to clubs and schools.
Their mission is to encourage more people to become involved in rugby, so that they may experience the health and social benefits of the game while growing the sport and improving standards across Scotland.

The award has enabled the club to purchase portable lighting, to allow all teams to train "off pitch" during the darker nights and to cut down on the use of the main pitch, which will assist in keeping it in good condition for all club matches.

On Friday 7th March, Niall and Ruari Gartshore were invited by GREAT, to attend the presentation of the award at Murrayfield. During the day they watched the final Captains run before the match with Wales, met some of the players and were presented with the award by National coach, Gregor Townsend.
