GREAT, which stands for Grassroots Rugby for Everyone Awards Trust, is a charitable organisation which supports the development of rugby across Scotland.

Their objectives are
• To promote public participation in rugby across Scotland through a programme of grants and other assistance to organisations and individuals, spreading awareness of the health and wellbeing benefits for participants of all ages, ethnicities, genders, and abilities;

• To provide and support recreational facilities and the organisation of recreational activities in communities, schools, colleges, universities, charitable organisations, and rugby clubs throughout Scotland;

• To support the provision of educational, coaching, and other forms of assistance, equipment and financial assistance to enable people of all abilities to safely participate in rugby in Scotland

with a focus on clubs, state schools, and communities in Scotland where the opportunity to play rugby is limited or unavailable.

Due to increased hire costs for venues and in electricity costs for the floodlights, WD have been seeking to purchase portable lighting to allow for "off pitch" training for all, in an effort to protect the main pitch for home matches. This in turn, will allow for more hospitality and increased foot fall to the club. The award has allowed for the purchase of a set of six lights which will be able to light an area of approx 40m x 40m.
