WDRFC welcome Swedish friends to Langloan!
WDRFC welcomed some "Old Friends" to Langloan on Saturday (13/04/2024) from Skane Old Boys in Sweden.
The trip was organised by the club and Coatbridge old boy Graham Brown, who now lives in Sweden. Rugby between WD and Sweden has been a long standing friendship and games have taken place in both Coatbridge and Sweden, over the years.
Both were joined by the Southside Barbarians, from exotic places such as Cartha Queens Park, GHA Gazelles and Whitecraigs for a couple of games and ably assisted by referee, Eddie Gallagher.
At the conclusion of a great days rugby, the usual hospitality was enjoyed by all in the clubhouse and well into the night at various Coatbridge hostelries!!
