The cricket season got underway with a home game against Bradenham. New captain (Ron Salins) won the toss and decided to bowl.
James Ottaway starts from Bus Stop End and Tom Benton from Pavilion End kicked off with tidy and neat bowling. James got first breakthrough in his first over with a maiden over and repeated the tricked bowling to get out both openers and no.3 bat. After 7 overs captain decided to get Puneet Kapoor into bowling from Pavilion End starts with tidy bowling and got breakthrough in his 2nd over. James ended his terrific bowling spell with (8 - 3 - 7 - 3). Bradenham at 23 for 4. Shiv Ramachandranan, Akash Suraj took over the bowling and Bradenham got a partnership going at 80 for 4. In 23rd over Captain decided to bring him and Wayne Nash into the bowling and got breakthrough. Puneet (8-1-35-1), Tom (8-1-35-0), Ron Salins (5-0-30-1), Shiv (7-0-57-0), Akash (2-0-7-0) and Wayne (2-0-9-0) finishes their spells. Bradenham finished the innings 189 for 5 wickets in 40 overs.

Martin Nice and Anthony Day opened and soon began turning over the strike. Anthony got bowled on ball that kept low falling in 5th over, 25-1. Akash Suraj joined Martin Nice but falling in 7th over, 36-2. Stanley Scott arrived and got off to the steady start as Martin picked up the pace. Both added 80 runs partnership. Martin reached his 50 and retired out after taking congratulations from the teammates. Puneet Kapoor joined Stanley but falling in 18th over, 123-3. Tom Benton joined in, and the run rate rose, with the Bradenham fielders grasping and spreading. Runs flowed freely until Stanley reached his well-constructed 50 and retired out. Captain joined in and got out quickly, 149-4. 41 runs to win, Shiv joined Tom, both made sure to wrap up the chase well before the end.
