This morning, the annual John Gray Cup was held at the club with the minis sections of St Albans, Barnet and Datchworth sending their players across for an excellent morning of matches. Each club's coaches voted for the team they thought best demonstrated the core values of rugby (Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship) and Welwyn won the cup on this basis.
It may have been a very busy morning for the club but fantastic feedback by visiting clubs has been received so huge thanks to Annabel Taylor, our Minis & Junior Chair and Matt Reynolds, former M&J Chair for their organisation of the day and many thanks to all those who gave up some of their time to help and make the morning go smoothly.
We even had our local MP Andrew Lewin down to visit and, as you can see by his post below, he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
