The first game against Kettering was to provide the girls with their first victory of the day, excellent teamwork both in attack and defence created the foundation for Welwyn to overcome very physical opponents and achieve a brilliant victory 6 tries to 2.

The second game against host side Peterborough was a more open, fast paced game with Welwyn girls again showing high levels of skill and teamwork. Powerful attacks from all areas of the pitch created many try scoring opportunities for Welwyn, leading to a resounding win, 11 tries to 1.

After only 3 months together, the girls have had a fantastic start to the season and are rapidly becoming a force to be reckoned with.
