This Sunday Welwyn Girls Under 13’s were hosted by Old Dartfordians and once again saw fantastic victories in all three games played against strong opposition.

The first game saw Welwyn take on a mixed Dartfordians team and run in 8 unanswered tries. Excellent attacking running lines and superb support from all the girls allowed Welwyn to dominate their opponents in attack. Solid teamwork and communication in defence ensured that their opponents remained scoreless.

The second game was against tougher opposition who provided Welwyn with a much sterner test. Once again the girls were strong in defence and decisive in attack, exploiting the try scoring opportunities they created very well. Old Dartfordians managed to cross the line for one try but Welwyn ensured a second victory by scoring five.

The final game was against the strongest opposition of the day and was to prove a very exciting, open and fast-paced game testing both sides. Brilliant teamwork and strong, determined tackling in defence coupled with super attacking rugby from all areas of the pitch meant Welwyn ran out deserved winners 4 tries to 3.
