The holders of the Hamer Cup and Lancashire Knockout are ominously fielding an unchanged line-up this season. However Greenmount entertain Bradshaw in their opening game without Pakistani professional Asif Zakir who is due to return from his home country next week. Greenmount's superiority was achieved thanks largely to Andy Kerr's (photo above) brilliant 1,477 runs last term.
Elsewhere there has been plenty of movement, with opening bowler, Iqbal Patel moving to Walkden from last season's bottom club Tonge and Walkden have also raided Kearsley for wicketkeeper/batsman Rick Hamblett and batsman Charles Dorsey.
Horwich have also strengthened, with bowler Adam Street joining them from Farnworth, who have the compensation of recruiting former Radcliffe professional, Anwar Ul Haq as an all-round amateur.
All rounder Stuart Hornby has returned to Egerton, where he learned his cricket, from Ribblesdale League side Read and the Blackburn Road men have also signed Amal Dalugoda from Bradshaw who have in turn signed opening bowler Steve Foster from Edgworth. Professional Usman Arshad has moved from Bradshaw to Eagley in the pre-season shake-up.
