The Latest News on the "Missing List"

It would be interesting to know if other clubs have the same level of injuries as West Wickham have had for the last 3 seasons-- if they do then I am beginning to wonder why.

Chris Rose is progressing well after his cruciate ligament operation and he is doing some light work without any repercussions. He hopes to be back playing in January 2010.

Matt King has thrown away his crutches, but unlike Lazarus, he fell over backwards -- luckily he was in The Bridge Bar at the time so there were plenty of off duty nurses to look after him. Matt plans to be back in early December when his broken foot should be back to full strength. The enforced rest may have been fortuitous as he was carrying a persistent ankle injury which should have benefitted from the rest.

Dave Adams has made little progress with his foot injury sustained pre-season and he is having another scan this week to determine the exact nature of the damage -- so far, rest has not helped the healing process.

Ben David has now been out for over a season and a half and, although he has had a knee operation, he is still not fit enough to return to training.

On the positive side both Sam Kemp and James Williams have returned to the fray after leg injuries -- let's hopr that they don't recur and Lloyd Willis seems to have fully recovered from his troublesome foot injury. Mark Pettyfer is also back and is scoring goals, which is good news -- Mark missed virtually all of last season. On the negative side we have just lost Ross Simmonds with a thigh problem.

We are hoping that Jon and Ollie Waite will be back in training in December. There will be "Missing - Small Reward" notices put up all around the City and South London to see if anybody can locate the Weasel
who has become an endangered species.

Mark Owlett is also back and kept a clean sheet for the Reserves last week -- so more good news. Maybe James will follow in his footsteps and start to play regularly. Stu Owlett is still threatening to play and is training three times a week.

Another question -- WHERE IS THE SHOE???
