With the season just a few weeks away we look at the state of things with Ben Stephens and James Ballinger planning their assault on the TAG Premier Division.
Firstly the club would like to thank Dave Blood for his dedication and performances in a United shirt over the years, the door's still very much open, but he will be plying his trade with Whittigton FC Vets this season.
Another long term player who won't be donning the blue and black this year is Richard Finnigan, opting to focus on his running.
Andy Stewart-Jones will also be leaving the club after a short spell and return to his spiritual home at Edingale Swifts. We wish them all the best.
Sam Geffen, Chris Prince, Will Allen and Chris Caddy all return to the fold after varying periods of absence. Brett Larkins is retained as an optional addition to the squad if required. Si Deeley will continue his loan action putting in a performance as and when he ventures back from California, whist Steve Harris will play a role when available. Adam James has linked up with the lads and will be available when on leave from the Barracks.
To current injury news! Nick Rovetto has broken ribs after being wiped out by Adam Joyce in last weeks pre season friendly vs Lichfield. Leaving the skipper out of action for 4-6 weeks and United still left with Calamity Joyce in goal.
Sam Geffen hopes to have shrugged off a back complaint whilst Chris Prince has ankle problems. Which could mean anything from a hot bath to a season finisher! Matt Harris and Jamie Larkins both have head injuries whilst Jack Whelan is undergoing psychiatric assessment.
