The club was packed to the rafters with Lancashire officials, club representatives along with players dressed in full playing kit.

Widnes were officially represented by Neil Street and First Team Captain, Kevin Leadbetter.

The two leagues will consist of a Premier Division and will be made up of the following clubs;
Liverpool St Helens, Oldham, Widnes, Trafford MV, Tyldesley, Aldwinians, Littleborough, West Park, Heaton Moor, Didsbury Toc H.

Division One will be made up of teams from; Ashton Under Lyne, Burnley, Bury, Clitheroe, Eagle, Manchester Medics, North Manchester, Ormskirk, Thornton Cleveleys, Wigan.

In addition, there will also be two cup competitions in operation throughout the season; the League Cup for Premier Division teams, and the League Shield for Division One clubs.
