A topsy turvy game ends in defeat but a bonus point at last.

SEATON CAREW 1ST XV VERSES WINLATON VULCANS 1STXV.
Winlaton made the best start of the game when from the kickoff the home side infringed and ALLISON converted the penalty (3PTS). Unfortunately from the restart the Vulcans made exactly the same mistake and Seaton Carew replied with penalty of their own (3PTS). For the next 20 MINS it was all Winlaton with the forwards totally dominating their hosts in the scrums and KANE outstanding in the lineout securing good clean ball to the three quarters who we taking the game to Seaton Carew. On 11 MINS the pressure exerted caused the opposition to transgress and ALLISON kicked another penalty (3PTS) however as in the previous occasion it seemed to galvanise Seaton Carew who immediately ran the ball back at Winlaton who although defending aggressively could not prevent the offloads in the tackle and they scored in the corner (5PTS) with the conversion being missed. The Vulcans again responded and on 20MINS from the halfway line a move initiated by URWIN and passing through the hands of KELLY, FINLAY and HENDERSON who fed KYLE whose outpaced the defence to score a fantastic ‘team’ try in the corner (5PTS) with the difficult conversion being missed.Winlaton were at this stage dominant in the set piece and combative at the breakdown and took the next scoring opportunity with both hands. After a series of scrums on the home sides line the forwards drove on and FINLAY got the touch down (5PTS) on 26MINS with the conversion missed. From the restart Winlaton made another mistake resulting in a penalty and the next 10 MINS they had to defend but on 35MINS Seaton Carew broke through and scored again (5PTS). Almost the last move of the half saw Winlaton winning a ball on the Seaton Carew try line from a line out which was lost and as result the hosts broke out and ran the whole length of the field to score under the posts(5PTS+2PTS).
HALF TIME 16-20
The second half started as the first with Winalton taking the initiative and taking the game to Seaton Carew. After 5MINS a penalty was kicked into the home sides 10 metre area and from the resulting lineout KANE again won the ball and the Vulcans drive took them over the line with HENDERSON who had been involved in everything good in the forward battle got the touchdown (5PTS) again with the conversion going narrowly wide. Seaton Carew responded and after a period of sustained pressure on 50MINS they broke the Vulcans spirited defence to score in the corner (5PTS). For the remainder of the game each side struggled to gain the ascendency but good defence prevented a further score. Winlaton during this period were in a number of scoring situations to win the game but it was only the final execution or the wrong decision at a crucial moment prevented them from registering a well deserved win which a hugely improved performance from the pervious week warranted.
FINAL SCORE 21-25
