After a pre-match pep talk from captain Clark, Winscombe started strongly and maintained possession in what was an important practice match.

Well deserved player of the match was Chloe Brown
- Kate Walker - goalie and match reporter!

Winscombe forwards put the Westberries' defence under early pressure and the movement off the ball was exceptional.

Winscombe keen to practice all of their silky skills ready for the second half of the season.

The defence of Charlie Philips, Juju O'Sullivan, Michelle Isgar and player of the match Chloe brown worked well as a unit to keep the ball away from the goal and distributing up to the midfield.

Winscombe's pressure, determination and patience paid off with a super cross from forward Gabriella Richardson, which was fantastically picked up by Hannah Bapty on the right hand post and the ball slotted in the goal behind the Westberries keeper putting Winscombe in the lead.
Keeping the pace up Winscombe continued to hold play with captain Kelly Clark dominating the centre of the pitch with gazelle-like Richardson and Sarah Holland sprinting for the forward balls.
The strong opposition were able to find the back of the net and equalise, however Winscombe were quick to return to the lead with another assist from Richardson allowing Hannah Taylor to find the goal.

Westberries fought hard and after some end to end play the score levelled.

Throughout the second half Winscombe concentrated on practicing set pieces and Westberries' strong forwards found the Winscombe goal twice more before the end of the game.
