Winslow United enjoy a GR-EIGHT night at The Gate

Well, well, well, what a Gr-eight night eh?!

The Gate was certainly rocked as we romped our way to a 8-0 victory over MK Robins.

Goalkeeper Sam Ashmead opened his account for Winslow and got the first of the game with a direct free-kick from his own area, the ball bounced in the Robins area and over the keepers head and into the back of the net #HeScoresWhenHeWants

Shayne Almond then scored an absoulute worldy, a 35 yard free-kick arrowed into the far top corner, a goal that would grace any game and any occasion, lets face facts if this goal was scored by Messi, Ronaldo we would now be watching re-run after re-run of it on TV and everybody would be talking about it for the next millennium, if there's a better goal scored this season at any level I want to see it. https://twitter.com/StevePeart_/status/1158818082271481856?s=20

Shayne Almond then got his second of the night and Winslow's third with another well taken free-kick as he whipped the ball into the far bottom corner past the dive of the despairing keeper.

3-0 H/T

Winslow came out like a train the second half and the pace and movement and finishing simply blew MK Robins away.

AK got Winslow's fourth as he latched on to a through ball and finished with a cheeky lob over the keepers head.

Shayne Almond then got his hat-trick goal and Winslow's 5th with a great finish through the keepers legs, with his job done, with 3 goals and assist to his name and one eye on the FA Cup on Sunday Shayne was replaced by Charlie Abrahams to a standing ovation, while Alex Little replaced Jack Page.

Ty Deacon then got Winslow's 6th and his first of the night with a tidy finish, Ty was then replaced by the lively Bernard Nkansah.

Winslow full of confidence now got their 7th goal of the night through Ricky Gwilliam who played a 1-2 with Bernard and lashed past the MK Robins Keeper.

And there was still time for one more as Bernard Nkansah who had been lively since coming on scored his first and Winslow's 8th.
