They’ll be three new names engraved on the latest Macron Manager of the Month Awards after Wealdstone’s Gordon Bartlett, Witham Town’s Garry Kimble and Merstham’s Hayden Bird were named as March’s winners of the managerial accolades.
All three masterminded promotion earning runs by their sides last month as the run-in to the campaign got underway and are now looking forward to collecting glass trophies marking their respective divisional honours at upcoming fixtures by representatives from the Ryman League and Macron, the monthly competition's proud sponsors.
Premier Division winner Bartlett has timed his first honour of the season perfectly, Wealdstone’s veteran manager earning the vote of the competition’s judges after a run of six wins and two draws saw his side stretch their lead at the top of the table to ten points with a game in hand on their nearest rivals ahead of their trip to East Thurrock United on Thursday night.
Gary Kimble and his second placed Witham Town are now just two points behind Ryman North leaders VCD Athletic with three games in hand before their trip to Needham Market on Thursday, tens wins and a draw earning the manager his first Macron award after the club collected one of the sponsor’s performance gongs earlier in the campaign.
Hayden Bird will be collecting Macron’s Ryman South Manager of the Month Award after guiding his sixth placed side into the race for a play-off place thanks to their nine wins and a draw in March.
All three managers are now in the running for the end of season Macron Manager of the Year Awards with the winners set to be unveiled at June's Ryman League Banquet & Ball at Wembley’s Hilton Hotel.
