Tomorrow sees us travelling to Jubilee park to face Ruddington 1st team.
It will prove to be a tough test for us, but after a good performance last Saturday against a young Ashland Rover Reserves team, the squad is ready. We will also see the return of many of the squad who have been missing due to holidays in recent weeks, but also some new faces who are new to our club, everything is moving in a positive direction.
Our reserve team are also playing tomorrow, they are away at Platt Lane where they face Keyworth Reserves. Our reserves have had a very good preseason up to now with Justin bolstering his already impressive squad with some new faces who will certainly add quality and strength.
Both squads have had a good week, with a training session on Wednesday that saw the squads training together once again and was put through their paces by Andy who orchestrated a great session.
There as been a lot happening behind the scenes at our club and there is some big news that will be released next week.
It's been a good week for Non League football, after pressure from all within Non league circles that saw the #LetFansIn trending on twitter it provoked a reaction and the decision was made by the Government & the FA to change their guidelines and are now allowing a % of fans back into the grounds from step 3-6 but at step 7 we have no such hinderance so we can allow as many fans in as we like so they can now attend their local teams ground & watch a football game. There are still measures to be put in place to ensure safe social distancing and track & trace systems but once that is all adhered to and completed you can enter the ground and enjoy the game. This is a massive step for the country but also for Non League and the fans of football on a whole, as it's the first time fans will be able to enter a football ground and watch a game of football live from the terraces and its great news for ALL clubs as its the fans who keep a lot of our clubs running, so please get down to your local game and support NON-League.
So if you're at a loose end tomorrow, get yourself down to Jubilee park in Ruddington or to Platt Lane in Keyworth and support our club and watch us in action.
