Upcoming Event at Woodbank CC

Firewalk

Can you take the heat? If so our next fundraising challenge might be for you.

https://www.buryhospice.org.uk/events/firewalk

Fire walking is a great way to challenge yourself and raise money for Bury Hospice at the same time. We are looking for a team of adventurers to challenge themselves to walk across hot coals.

Yes, that’s right, you’ll be walking across smouldering embers at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit! You won’t need any specialist skills or equipment and full training will be provided immediately before the event. Whilst it may seems a little scary the team from UK Firewalk assure us that the sensation you might feel can be described as walking on eggshells or hot sand. Every walker will have a different experience and many end up walking more than once!

So why not give it a go and help us to continue providing the best care for our patients and their families. You can enter as an individual, as part of a team or even as a family (minimum age is 13)

As the event is costly to organise, we ask for an entry fee and a pledge to raise the following when you sign up to participate.

£25 per adult with a fundraising pledge £150
£15 per child with a fundraising pledge £100
£35 per joint entry (adult and child) with a fundraising pledge £250
Spaces are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.

When & Where Is It?
Thursday 23rd February in the evening.

How does it work?
The event is delivered by UK Firewalk who specialise in charity firewalking events. They have led tens of thousands of people across fire and have a safety record which is outstanding. All firewalkers will be given a full hour of training before they take on their challenge.
