The club 7s usually take place on the first Bank Holiday weekend in May, I will confirm this when I have exact details.

I also have to inform you all, that this will be my last season coaching the Academy for a while as my wife and I are, for work reasons, re-locating to Bahrain in the early summer.

The club and I decided to make this announcement before the end of the season, so there is plenty of time for a new Head Coach to be found. So, if anyone has any ideas please let us know.

I hope all of you players continue your development in this great game of ours and finish this season off with the same commitment and drive that you have shown in the last months.

I would especially like to thank all of you parents, for getting up early on Sundays, ignoring the inevitable hangover, to ferry the team to some deep and dark places in Essex, without your support, there simply wouldn’t have been a team this season
.
Finally, let us all thank our Management/Coaching Team. Mark, Ian, Jonathan and not forgetting Peter. Thank you for all of your help over the course of the season, as you know herding cats can be a difficult task at the best of times and without your help, this season would not have been the success it has been already been.

My thanks to you all, and let’s end the season off by being crowned Essex Champions!

My very best regards

Brian Watts
Woodford Academy Head Coach.
