Woolston Rovers Rugby League Club U7’s got to play on the Halliwell Jones pitch for the first time ever on Saturday 11th September. They played 4 times against teams from in and around Warrington including Latchford Giants, Rylands Sharks, Crosfields, Bank Quay Bulls and Burtonwood Bulldogs in the event which was organised by the Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation.

Kyle Robinson, U7’s Head Coach, said, “What an amazing experience for the team. They got to hold the St Helens flag last season just before Covid hit, but this is a different level; they will hopefully remember this for the rest of their lives. It was fantastic seeing so many kids running around with big smiles on their faces just enjoying the experience.”

The occasion also saw the first appearance at the stadium of their 2021/22 kit from O’Neills Sportswear; the purchase of which was made possible by the generous sponsorship of Yofil Ltd, Heaunique Group and Dam Lane Chippy. The U7’s are also proud to support State of Mind and St Roccos with both logos appearing on the sleeves of all player and volunteer shirts.
