Derby action in County Cup
Reds are involved in Cumberland Cup action on Tuesday when they travel to play Whitehaven in the 3rd Round of the competition (7.30pm).
The match will be played on the 3G pitch with the grass surface unplayable due to the recent heavy rain.
Reds will go into battle with a makeshift squad as the likes of Joe McGee, Matty Tymon, James Earl and Gareth Arnison are all unavailable due to work commitments and injury.
Whitehaven knocked Reds out of the competition last year emerging 2-1 winners at Borough Park in a 2nd Round tie.
The last time they played a Cumberland Cup tie on the artificial surface, Reds emerged narrow 1-0 winners thanks to a lone Steven Rudd goal. That was eight years ago and Kyle May, Anthony Wright and Rudd all featured.
All three could be involved again.
There is no shelter at the ground so don’t forget your umbrella!
