Bay will be stronger
Reds make their longest mid-week trip of the season on Tuesday when they make the 200 mile, plus, journey to North Wales for what will be an intriguing fixture against Colwyn Bay.
Bay have recovered from their Cup mauling at Borough Park last week and will be much stronger for the Evo-Stik Premier Division clash at Llanelian Road (7.45pm). They could have up to three new signings in the side with the injury situation improving too.
They certainly restored a bit of pride on Saturday when they were the better side in a 1-1 draw at Matlock Town.
Derek Townsley will travel with the same squad that drew with Barwell but appreciates their normal warm-up routine might be curtailed. The team coach is leaving later than normal because of players’ work commitments, so hopefully there will be no travel problems en route.
Tuesday night trips along the A55 are nothing new, as, this will be the third time Reds have travelled to North Wales for a mid-week fixture – losing both, incidentally.
Live updates will be broadcast by BBC Radio Cumbria throughout the ninety minutes, with Paul Armstrong operating the Live Scoreboard facility via the website.
