West meets east
It’s the coast-to-coast derby at Borough Park on Tuesday with Reds hosting Whitby Town in Evo-Stik Premier Division action (7.30pm).
Both sides drew on Saturday – Whitby doing so at Halesowen – and are becoming draw specialists with nine recorded between them to date.
The lack of victories is holding Reds and Town back so a win would catapult either up the table. Reds are currently 10th with seventeen points whilst Whitby languish in 21st position having obtained ten points so far.
It will be the first of two trips to west Cumbria for Whitby this month as they return in three weeks for the FA Trophy tie.
Last season’s encounters produced four points for Reds with a goalless draw on the east coast followed by a 3-0 victory on home soil.
Derek Townsley will operate with the same squad that salvaged a point against Mickleover on Saturday but, will be, insisting for a far better start than at the week-end.
Updates will be broadcast on BBC Radio Cumbria, while Paul Armstrong will provide coverage on the Live Scoreboard facility via the website.
