Bay watch
A little bit of history will be made at Borough Park on Saturday, with the old stadium hosting its first ever FA Cup tie between English and Welsh opposition.
Reds take on league rivals Colwyn Bay (3pm) at the First Round Qualifying stage with the winners collecting £3,000 from the FA prize fund.
Derek Townsley will welcome Gareth Arnison back into the squad after he missed Tuesday’s victory over Hyde United. No injuries were picked up in mid-week so the starting XI will be selected from a squad of 18.
Colwyn Bay are managed by former Reds assistant boss, Ash Hoskin, with another ‘old boy’, Valter Fernandes included in the squad.
They languish in 20th position in Evo-Stik Premier at the moment having won two and drawn one of their opening eight matches.
It’s an ‘all to pay’ fixture with supporters reminded that season tickets are not valid.
The only previous cup tie between the clubs took place at Borough Park fifteen years ago when Bay won 1-0 in a Unifilla Cup match.
Updates will be broadcast on BBC Radio Cumbria with Paul Armstrong operating his Live Scoreboard facility via the website.
