Lloyd signed in at Rivacre Park in July 2013 from Welsh Alliance League side Conwy Borough. The Chester-born player joined the youth set-up of his home-town club and went on to make four appearances, scoring one goal on his debut against Aldershot.

He spent time on loan at Droyslden in 2009 before signing for Marine after the collapse of Chester City. He then joined his previous manager at Chester, Jim Harvey, at Stalybridge Celtic where he went on to score goals at Conference North level over three seasons, before seeking a new challenge at Conwy Borough.
