"Facilities" may be a slightly elaborate word for the current changing rooms and toilet block. But we're working on it.

We inherited the changing rooms from the former cricket club. However after a long period of neglect these are in a poor state of repair. Many of the lads have put time and effort in to make the changing rooms safe and usable, but much work is still to be done.

We were lucky enough to receive a grant of £5000 from RBS Rugby Force in 2011 to go towards the maintenance and development of the facilities at Wortley. We used this money for the following:

• Restoring electricity to the changing rooms
• New internal floor, walls and ceiling to changing rooms
• Laying of small hard parking area
• Pitch maintenance
• New gate for pitch
• Painting of the posts
• Sinks / toilets
• Exterior lighting to allow evening training through the winter

We have further plans to upgrade and improve the facilities in the short and long term, leading to an eventual redevelopment of the whole site, with 2 pitches and purpose built changing rooms.
