Hello from Yardley and District RFC, we hope you are all doing well in these lockdown times! I thought it was about time for an update on what is happening with YDRFC.
Despite the Club being closed in the current lockdown, there’s still been a great deal of behind the scenes activity, working hard to prepare the Club ready for when normality returns.

Rugby
All the senior players are keeping in contact with the club eagerly awaiting news on when the season may start again, even more when training can start to help establish a squad for next season. There was some good news from the end of the season, we stayed in North West 4 and by default for the third year running we was crowned North Midlands RFU plate/vase winners.

Club House
Our executive committee are working hard to make sure things are in place to make sure the club can reopen and have fresh beer when the time comes to reopen the doors.
While the Rugby Committee are looking at new signage, general clean-up and the grassed area all neat and tidy, amongst other projects.

Fundraising
On 27th March YDRFC launched a fundraising page to help deal with the Coronavirus lockdown. Thanks to the amazing generosity of Members and Supporters we have currently raised £2,730. A big thank you to everyone for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
