There are a lot of elderly people that will be alone this Christmas, and we need your help to allows us to give something back.

Christmas is about spending time with loved ones, eating and making memories. However, not everybody can experience the love and Christmas joy that it brings. There are a huge amount of elderly people that will be alone this Christmas. Family may not be able to visit, or they might not have any.

CAN YOU HELP BRING THEM JOY IN A BOX?

Fill a shoe box or gift bag with all the little things that we might take for granted, this can include:

• Toiletries (Shampoo, Shower Gel etc)
• Reading or Colouring Books
• Pens & Pencils
• Sweets, chocolate or biscuits
• Tea, coffee or hot chocolate sachets
• Hats, gloves, scalves, fluffy socks
• Craft Items; knitting, cross stitch etc
• A little Christmas gift
• Christmas Card

If you are not able to fill a full gift bag/box, individual items can be dropped off and we will makes additional boxes from the individual items.

Please bring your unsealed box to Yaxley Football Club by 14th December, for checking.

These will then be distributed by Peterborough Elderly Christmas Shoebox Appeal across various sheltered accommodations and care homes around Peterborough over Christmas.
