The spiral punt with Dan Carter:

Place your hands on either side of the ball, with one hand on the top of the ball and one hand on the bottom.

Make sure you keep the nose of the ball down at a 30 degree angle facing away from you.

Do not kick across the ball to get the spiral, kick straight through to keep power in the kick and generate the spiral.

It is important not to over achieve as you can lose balance, keep strong over the ball with your chest and your leading shoulder is in a strong position.

Keep the follow through smooth and strong
