The Eagles return to action this afternoon when they travel to Derbyshire-based side, Staveley Miners' Welfare. Both teams have met before this season - playing out a 2-2 draw at the Mitton Group Stadium; two late goals via Jake Thompson and Sam Bradley saved a point for the Eagles.
This will be Eccleshill United's first game in over a month due to games getting postponed, as well as free weeks in the schedule, meaning that the side will be heading into the game as fresh as possible in the search of three points.
The last competitive fixture that Eccleshill United played was a 2-1 victory over promotion hopefuls Yorkshire Amateur - Andy Cooper's strike winning the game on that occasion in a result that certainly drew plenty of attention from the league.
However, this game will also mark the first since club captain, Sam Bradley left to pursue career opportunities in Dubai, meaning there will be a change in the line-up for Sean Regan, with an opportunity for someone to step up and take Bradley's spot in the side.
Staveley also comes into the game with an impressive run of form that has seen them unbeaten in their last six games. They sit eighth in the table and are four points clear of Eccleshill United.
With two teams in fine form with plenty of momentum behind them, it is sure to be a tightly contested game with both teams hoping to continue their respective runs, heading into the final stretch of the season.
