Oldham Rugby was very pleased to host the Oldham schools - girls GRAPPLE rugby competition at ORUFC on Tuesday 23rd October.

55 girls across the U13 to U15 age group took part in a 7 team round robin tournament organised by the clubs coaches.

GRAPPLE rugby introduces girls to physical contact. The players almost without exception took to “ biff bang “ rugby with great enthusiasm !

Participating schools were Bluecoat, Oasis Academy, Hathershaw and Newman College.

These schools have been invited to play in the Greater Manchester finals on 16th November.

All players received details of the girls training sessions at ORUFC.
