CODE OF CONDUCT
Oldham RUFC prides itself on promoting an environment in which all members, visitors and staff of ORUFC can enjoy their involvement with our club.
To support this, ORUFC has developed a code of conduct which we expect all members and guests to follow.
OLDHAM RUFC has zero tolerance for the following behaviour:
  • Acting in a manner that suggests bullying, prejudicial or discriminatory behaviour including, but not limited to:
  • Sexual orientations.
  • Ethnic background.
  • Level of ability.
  • Ageism(Young or Old).
  • Violent or threatening behaviour to others.
  • Acting in a way that staff perceive is detrimental to the enjoyment of others.
  • Acting in a way that puts the health and safety of others at risk.
  • Offensive and inappropriate language.
  • Theft from members, staff, visitors or ORUFC Substance abuse on the club’s premises and grounds.
  • Playing without payment of subs and annual fees.
  • Consuming any drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), on club premises and grounds, not purchased in the club (An exception is made for players with hi-energy drinks before training and matches)
  • Consuming any food, on club premises, not purchased in the club without the prior express consent the Bar Steward

This list is not exhaustive but indicative of the types of behaviour that ORUFC considers unacceptable.


ORUFC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ENFORCE THIS CODE OF CONDUCT ON MEMBERS WHILST BOTH ON AND OFF THE PREMISES, INCLUDING SOCIAL MEDIA SITES.


The committee of ORUFC have sanctioned that appointed officials of ORUFC can take action against anyone who fails to maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour.
This action could include the following sanctions:
● Implementing an exclusion period from the facilities - the time span of which will depend on the nature of the incident
● Invoicing unpaid fees due
● Informing the police - with intent of prosecution
● For playing issues, the RFU sanctioned guidelines will be used


Any appeal, against action taken in response to breaches of this code of conduct, can be made in writing to ORUFC within 14 days of any action implemented.
A response will be issued within 14 days of receipt of the appeal.
