Football has been played in Adderbury for many years and the club as people presently know, it was reformed in the 1970’s by Larry Hicks. Adderbury originally played in the local Banbury & District league until in the early 90’s, when they merged with AP sports and the club became known as Adderbury Park Football Club.

The club then entered into the Oxfordshire Senior League, where it enjoyed a lot of success in the years to follow, before enjoying a brief spell in the Hellenic league for three seasons. The club was eventually relegated in the 2004/2005 season back into the Oxfordshire Senior League.

On returning to the OSL the club had to rebuild from top to bottom, with only 3 players remaining from the days in the Hellenic league, Dave Bagnall and Tony Addison took over the running of the first team in 2005/2006 and made great progress, culminating in five cup final appearances and winning the Senior League Premier Division in 2010.

The 2013/14 season would bring about a new era with James Collier returning to the club to manage the 1st Team and David Seeney taking control of the Reserves. Collier brought with him a new style of football and a younger group of players to try and build the club up again for the future.

The 2015/16 season brought huge success for the club with the 1st team winning the Oxfordshire Charity Cup and the Presidents Cup for the first time in the clubs history. The Reserves secured the OSL Division 2 title with a 100% record along with winning the Clarendon Cup.

This was followed by the 1st team retaining the Charity Cup and winning the OSL Premier Division for the first time since 2010.

The club has since enjoyed spells in the Oxfordshire Senior League and Hellenic League.

The first team won the treble last season under Ben Lovatt in an undefeated league season, picking up the Premier Division title, the Presidents Cup and winning the prestigious Byfield Bethal Charity Cup for the first time in their history.
