After a hard fought title winning season, Altofts U14's have been approached for two players to attend Academy trials this Summer.
Barnsley FC have invited midfielder Jimmy Pursell and striker Eddie Morton to full 6 week academy trials this summer.
In addition, Rotherham FC have also invited Jimmy Pursell to full 6 week Academy trials this Summer.

Eddie (above) joined the club some 3 years ago from Stanley United and has been an instant hit. Despite his height, he has developed into a giant with the heart of a lion. His attitude and approach to training and games has been exemplary. He is a real credit to the team and deserves every success.

Jimmy joined us at the beginning of this season from Thornes FC where he played his early football. With full District honours, Jimmy came with a real pedigree and he has fulfilled every one of my expectations and more. He has a first rate attitude to the game, exceptional qualities on and off the ball, and he is deserving of every success.

We wish both players the very best of success this summer. We would hate to lose them to a Professional Academy, but this is the direction I would like all our players to strive towards to improve them as footballers and individuals.
