2. History

Attock Cricket Club traces its roots back to the early 1970s when a tight-knit group of friends, predominantly hailing from a district in Pakistan, came together to form the club. Beginning modestly in the Birmingham Parks, the club gradually ascended the ranks of league cricket.

After finding success in local competitions, Attock CC sought greater challenges and higher standards of play, leading to a transition to the Giro Bank Business Houses league. Despite facing organizational shortcomings, the club's determination remained steadfast. In 1989, a pivotal moment arrived as Attock CC boldly entered the more organized leagues of the West Midlands, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey through the ranks of the Warwickshire League, ultimately finding a home in the esteemed Birmingham and District Premier League.

The early years saw Attock CC operating without a dedicated ground or facilities, relying solely on the camaraderie of its members. Yet, despite these humble beginnings, the club garnered a reputation for excellence, clinching numerous park league titles and cup competitions. However, the nomadic lifestyle of shifting from ground to ground each year prompted senior members to seek a permanent location, not only to enhance competitiveness but also to retain promising young talent.
