3. 3rd & 4th XV
Third & Fourth XV
This has always been where newcomers learnt about the game and played for enjoyment rather than success. For many years during the 1970's & 1980's the 3rd team were captained by scrum half Colin Staples, in later years the side has been captained by Steve Adams, Nick Wiltshire and Moz Hall.
Because of the uncertainty about the number of teams the club could field each year, only one person has ever been elected as 4th XV captain. That player, Stan Cherry, is now the first XV's regular touch judge.
