In recent years, Birstall have been one of the mainstays in the Central Yorkshire Cricket League and since 1997 have regularly won silverware. The 1st XI won the Central Yorkshire League premier Division title in 2002 - a wait of 48 years since their last triumph. They only had to wait a further six years for their next Premier League Winners trophy as john Carruthers' 2008 side lost only one league game all season.

The 2nd XI have had their fair share of trophies too, with two Crowther Cups, three league titles and one Wheatley Cup Triumph since 1997.
