Bar Manager (Part-Time)
We are looking for a self-employed bar manager to manage the bar in the Bletchley Rugby Clubhouse. This would include the sourcing of staff, managing stock levels and ensuring the bar areas (main bar and snug bar) and taps/pumps are clean and well maintained.
What are the hours?
The hours are likely to vary week on week depending on what events we have at the club. As a minimum, we will require the bar to be open when we have home games on a Saturday and Sunday but also for club and private bookings as agreed with the club’s facilities manager.
Essential for this role
• To hold (or are willing to hold) a personal liquor license (the club can help you to obtain one).
• Good communication skills.
• Good organisation skills.
• A patient and empathetic nature.
• Non-judgemental behaviour.
• A willingness to engage with players and other volunteers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Main responsibilities:
• Maintain a well-stocked bar.
• Serve drinks to members and customers.
• Cash handling.
• To wash-up and clean as required.
• To comply with stock rotation.
• To ensure good standards are maintained at all times and carry out cleaning as requested.
• To comply with Health and Safety in line with Bletchley Ruby Club’s protocols and raise any concerns to the Facilities manager.
