The Cherry & Whites have made 3 changes to the starting XV for their clash with Drybrook at the REC.
As expected scrum half Taron Peacock was unable to recover from the calf injury sustained at Wadebridge last week, so player coach Liam Chapple steps in at 9. Flying winger Alex Ducker returns to the lineup which see's Gareth Mankee drop to the bench after a good performance up at the Camels.
In the pack there is a first start in two months for Tony Whittle who showed up well when he came on in the cup semi-final. Tony will come in at flanker which means the unfortunate Neil Stanleick will drop to the bench. Neil has been playing very well since returning to the club but with a number of tough matches still to be played selectors need to rotate the squad to keep everyone as fresh as possible.
Another player who can consider himself very unfortunate is fly half Ben Stein who's not included in the squad this week. But with another 6 league games, a Milk Cup clash with the Reds and the County Cup Final coming up plus next Sunday Cornwall u20's match with Devon the 18yr old will still have a lot of chances to shine this season.
The only other change for Town see's new signing Murray Westren who's making his home debut move to his preferred position at fly half with Rhys Brownfield reverting to the full back role.
This match will certainly test the squad's resolve and ambition as the visitors have performed very well against the top clubs this season. They completed the double over Weston, been the only team not to lose at Newent and recently defeated Thornbury before demolishing Wells away last week.
