2013 - The Inaugural Season
The club was formed in March of 2013 by Scott Jackson. An exiled northerner who's craving for full contact rugby league was reignited by a summer of touch rugby in 2012.

Established with the help of some members of the Cambridge University Rugby League team and several of the touch team the Lions quickly grew and brought onside players from some of the local rugby union teams.

In their first season the Lions made it to their divisional final losing out to the Bedford Tigers.

2014 - Second season syndrome?
2014 saw the club taking part in the newly created East Division League One. Sitting between the East Premier and the East Entry leagues, Division One was contested between Bedford, Brentwood, Cambridge and North Herts Crusaders.
